When you start to think about school, you start to think about all the stress that's involved when it comes to classes, making friends, getting homework on time, finances, and list can go on. When it comes to reducing stress, most students will do just about anything to do this. What a lot of college students don't realize is that you're able to make your finances a lot more manageable with credit cards.I'm sure by now you've heard a million bad things about credit cards. It's like the old saying "There's always one bad apple in the batch." The same goes with society. There's always people out there ruining the image for the rest of us. What students don't realize is that there are a lot of people out there that don't know how to manage their credit cards and finances therefore putting them in that awful debt black hole. Credit cards are a great way to keep track of your finances and benefit off perks at the same time. If you're currently using cash, you're not getting anything for that money. If you set that cash aside and use a credit card, you're now going to get some sort of a reward. When your bill comes in the mail, you can simply send the cash/check off to the credit card companies. When it comes to college finances, you may find that it's hard to earn cash and I understand that. What you need to realize is that when you don't have cash, you shouldn't be using your credit cards. If you do have the cash, it's important that you start a budget. With a budget you're able to benefit with the maximum perks of a credit card. Let's show how they can benefit you below.- Get rewards for every dollar you spend.- Know exactly what you're spending each month.- Track your spending month to month all on one bill.- Build your credit history.- Great to have for emergencies. These are some great focal points that you should look into when you start to apply or currently have a credit card. So many people want to knock down the credit card market but they don't want to point out the positive effects of a credit card. I'll not this again, a credit card can be deadly, it all depends on the user. What you need to remember is that a credit card can't be treated like play cash. You need to be able to pay off your bill every month, no exceptions. If you think you're a responsible college student and you want to keep track of your expenses easier, it's probably the best thing that you look into a credit card. Even though you hear a lot of negative side effects, like anything, you should look into the positive effects as well. If you think the positive will help you out in college, then you have nothing to lose. If you think once you get it, you'll abuse it, then you can simply cancel it and go back to your financial ways you used before.

A day in the life of every businessperson is made up of a series of meetings and greetings. Whether you are making the initial contact with a client or a colleague, you want to get off on the right foot. Doing so will make the first encounter and subsequent ones go smoothly and easily. Getting off on the wrong foot can make for a difficult recovery. Save your energy for later and use these simple strategies for a successful start. Stand up when you meet someone. This allows you to engage the person on an equal level - eye to eye. By remaining seated, you send a message that you don't think the other person is important enough to warrant the effort it takes to stand. If you find yourself in a position where you can't stand up (such as being trapped behind a potted plant) offer an apology and an explanation. You might say something like, 'Please excuse me for not getting up. I can't seem to get around the foliage. ' Smile. Your facial expression says more than your words. Look as if you are pleased to meet the other person regardless of what is on your mind. Put a smile on your face for the person standing before you. Make eye contact. Looking at the people you meet says you are focused and interested in them. If you are staring off somewhere else, you may appear to be looking for someone more to your liking to come along. Introduce yourself immediately. As soon as you approach people you don't know or are approached by them, say who you are. Don't stand around as if someone else is in charge of introductions. Include a statement about who you are when necessary. It is not always enough to say, 'Hello, I'm Mary Jones.' Give more information. 'Hello, I'm Mary Jones. I work for XYZ Corporation.' Offer a firm handshake. Extend your hand as you give your greeting. The person who puts a hand out first comes across as confident and at ease. Make sure that this physical part of your greeting is professional. Don't offer bone-crushing grips or wimpy limp-wristed shakes. If you are confused about men and women shaking hands, don't be. There once was a time when women didn't shake hands with men. We are past that. Everyone in business shakes hands with everyone else. Learn how to make smooth introductions. In business you always introduce less important people to more important people. The way to do this is to say the name of the more important person first, followed by the words 'I'd like to introduce...' and then give the other person's name. Be sure to add something about each person so they will know why they are being introduced and will have some information with which to start a conversation. Know who the more important person is. The client or the business prospect is more important than your boss. Just hope your boss agrees. Pay attention to names when you meet people. It is all too common to be thinking about what you are going to say next and not focus on the other person. If you concentrate and repeat the name as soon as you hear it, you stand a better chance of remembering it later. Use first names of people whom you have just met only after they give you permission. Not everyone wants to be addressed informally on the initial encounter. It is better to err on the side of formality than to offend the other person right off the bat. Your goal within the first few minutes of meeting other people is to make them feel comfortable and to put them ease so they will want to do business with you. When you are confident of the rules for those critical initial encounters, you will have a solid start for long-term profitable relationships. (c) 2004, Lydia Ramsey. * Most positions in international business career are located in the urban areas in the United States. So if you live in the rural areas, you have fewer opportunities available.* Employment restrictions do exist so you may or you may not be able to obtain positions abroad.* Expatriates, or American citizens working abroad, often have an advantage over non-expatriates. However, they are only typically employed if they possess certain skills or experience. So this means that having the right skills and experience are still the best guarantee you have to building an international business career.* One of the best international employers is the Peace Corps, which has its own business-related set of opportunities. In addition, financial institutions, consulting firms, and manufactures also offer strong opportunities for international business careers. * The fast track to an international business career in most companies is through sales, market research, advertising, or product management.* As a general rule, your best chance for an international business career is with an American multinational economy. Now you know the basics in international business career, here is how to prepare for it:Start while still in school. There is really no better starting point that when you are still in school and contemplating your career options. Seek out opportunities related to business. Preferable areas that you should focus on include accounting, finance, and marketing. Remember the stark reality: the fast track to an international business career often involves sales, marketing, and advertising. So choosing courses that address these areas in business and finance should help you prepare for a career in international business.Narrow down your interests.Once you have settled on a career, it is time for you to narrow down your interests. Focus on one particular field of business that offers several potential global opportunities. These may include: accounting, advertising, administrative/management, auditing, banking/finance, communications, computers/data processing, consulting, cultural affairs, and the like. Obtain related experience. There are many ways you can gain experience related to business. Through internships, summer jobs, or part-time employment, you will be exposed to current business practices and will gain valuable experience and even contacts as a result. Try to find internship programs and other opportunities that are directly related to your chosen career goal. For instance, if you want a career in international finance, then work in a bank. You may not be able to intern or work in their international division, but you can still use this opportunity to learn all you can from someone in that office. Also, you can volunteer to help out in an international division. Or ask someone who may have international experience about the international market

Working offshore is not for everyone. The job requires you to travel and be away from home and your family. It is a hard and dangerous task that has to be accomplished in harsh weather conditions. On the other hand, growth opportunities are tremendous. Starting salary for a person with no previous experience is anything between $40,000 to $60,000 annually and that too for working only for six months in a year. Once the workers have excelled at the lower positions, they are usually promoted to higher positions depending on their performance. On the job training is also provided like job shadowing, mentoring and coaching.Types of JobsThere are many types of jobs available while working offshore in an oilrig. For instance, people are recruited in the control room, at the deck, for drilling, rig management, mechanical and electrical department, catering. Others are hired as rig welders, scaffolders, radio operators, medic, rig safety and training coordinator, mud engineer, painters. Control room personnel include barge engineers who are in charge of the control room; control room operators and assistant CROs control the stability of the rigs and make liquid transfers. On the deck, people are recruited as maintenance roustabout and foreman who looks after the deck area. Crane operators whose main duties includes crane operations.Drill crew includes positions such as roughnecks, pumpman, dereckman and drillers. Roughnecks and pumpman takes mud weights and looks after the machinery required by the particular operation. The Dereckman's main duty is the maintenance of the machinery in the mud pump room. Drillers occupy one of the most important positions on the rig. He is responsible for the drilling in the seabed.Tool pushers and offshore installation manager make up the rig management.Tool pushers work in the rig offices and rig floors. Offshore installation managers are responsible for the entire rig. Mechanical department hires motorman, mechanics and maintenance supervisors who are responsible for all mechanical operations.Electrical department includes positions like electrician, electronic technician and maintenance supervisors who look after the repair of all electrical equipment.Catering team is made up of the stewardess, cook and the camp boss who are in charge of the catering, laundry and cleaning. Before you decide to start a career in this industry, one needs to keep in mind certain criteria like health, age, experience, education and interests. The job requires you to be in good physical condition, and you need to pass certain medical examinations. Although the average age is 27 for offshore jobs, you can apply for coast guard or drilling contractor positions if you are less than 18. Experience in a particular field will help you to gain a better position and wage, but by and large, no previous experience or skill is required to be hired. Many entry-level positions are available. No formal education is required at the lower positions. Higher education is required only at the higher levels. Oil industry is continuing to grow rapidly and hence a career in this industry is very prosperous and bright. It gives you an opportunity to work anywhere in the world in a work environment which has very high standards of safety. Besides, enjoying very high salaries, the other benefit that workers enjoy is working only for 14 days in a month. Major oil companies also provide medical and life insurance. It is a very rewarding and exciting career.

The rationale behind using an online backup service is simple. By saving your data on remote servers, the risk of catastrophic data loss as a result natural disasters, theft, technical failure, or other disaster is virtually eliminated. You can be assured, if your building is unavailable, all of your stored information can be recovered, and your business can get back to work quickly using the online backup service. The online backup services providers will allow you to completely automate the service they offer – you can schedule your backups to start at regular intervals. You also have the flexibility to manually start them yourselves. Most Online backup service providers offer:* Continuous backup* Offsite storage – Keep a separate copy of data at a remote location* No wait recovery- data is recovered very quickly (Within Minutes)* No tapes, no hassles – lower your costs, prices start at around $10 a monthContinuous BackupMost online backup service companies will allow you to ensure that your data is continuously backed up as it changes, 24 hours a day, so it's always protected. A historical archive containing previous versions is also retained. Whether you need the most recent copy from a few minutes ago or a version from the past, the appropriate copy will be available with a few clicks in a web browser.Offsite StorageIn the event of a disaster, your data is automatically stored offsite at a secure data center via state-of-the-art security technology. Offsite storage provides your business with disaster recovery for critical server data should your office be damaged or destroyed.No-Wait RecoveryRestore your data fast. Instantly recover your data to the point of failure, eliminating downtime and data loss from relying on a previous night's backup. For added convenience and speed, most providers supply a unique web interface that allows you to initiate restores from any web browser anywhere. No Tapes. No Hassles. Lower Costs.Manual tape backup has proven to be extremely error-prone with failure rates as high as 50%. Compounding this risk is the complex and time-consuming nature of tape backup—particularly for businesses with limited IT resources.Any online backup service allows you to focus on running, growing and improving your business – not the tedious backup requirements:No tapes to purchase, handle, catalogue, or storeNo backup staffing and schedulingNo driving tapes offsiteNo rebuilding files from multiple tapesNo mechanical or environmentally-induced tape failuresNo backup error messages to decipherMany provide 100% guaranteed recoveryIn essence for small monthly fee, you can implement a disaster recovery plan that will ensure that no matter what life throws at you and your company, you will be in a position to very quickly continue with your operations safe in the knowledge that your business data is safe. ** About the author text:An online backup service allows your company the flexibility you need in accessing your data.  Online backup from Global Data Vault allows for continuous backup, the security of offsite storage, quick and easy data recoveries, and no hassles with tape storage.  Protect your data with us at http://www.globaldatavault.com.

No matter what you do in life you probably know that it is important to get ahead of the game and to find other people that share your interests that you can talk to. This is important whether you are thinking about work related things, or even the hobbies that you enjoy. It is always a good idea to be friends with people who have children your same age, for example, because there are many stories and tips that you can share with each other. The same goes for networking with other people who own home businesses. You might think that just because you are on your own and working from home, you don't need any help and you don't need anyone else to talk to. However, the home business world can be quite tricky, and if you don't know exactly what you are doing, it might be easy for someone else to take advantage of you or your home business. You have to be able to compete, and you have to be able to have something that other people want. This means that as you go about your life and as you begin to be in business, you should find ways to network with others that are doing the same thing you are. This is very important because if you are networking with other home business owners, you'll find that you can get so much information from them. You don't have to even be talking about just home business owners that relate to your field, either. The home business world is huge, and you can network with others that have home businesses, even if they are doing something completely different than you are. There are many things that you can share with others who also run businesses from their homes. You can discuss setting work hours, getting all of your work done, and advertising so that you can get more business. You can also discuss things like how people fit their families into their home business, and how it might be important to make sure that you are taking care of everything at home at the same time that you take care of your business. There are many places that you can meet other home business owners as well. First of all, consider looking online for chat boards and message boards where you can meet other home business owners and where you can talk to them. There are many websites that offer tips for home business owners, and through these websites you can meet lots of different people to network with. This is all something that you can do and it can all be something that enhances your business.

Part of the reason is that Hinchinbrook Island is a National Park, and thus strictures are put on the number and amount of tourists. That said, most people don't have any trouble making their way to this amazing island, but the people you meet will be others, who, just like you, wanted to get away from the main Queensland tourist crowds and enjoy the spectacular image of an almost untouched natural environment. The best times to visits are May through October, which corresponds with the Australian 'winter.' These months are some of the coolest and most pleasant months, and are thus an excellent time to visit the area. Keep in mind that if you go off season, getting there will be a bit more difficult as services are limited in the off season and due to cyclone season, the ferries and one resort close down. Traveling to the island There is only one way to travel to the island, and it is via the Hinchinbrook Island Ferries, located about two hours south of Cairns in Caldwell on the mainland. The ferries operate daily during normal business hours, i.e., 9 to 5, in the peak season and only three days a week in the off-season. Thus, if you decide to make a visit, you should plan your trip specifics accordingly as one season differs a lot from the other. Traveling on Hinchinbrook Island is best done on foot, so plan on doing a lot of hiking and walking. Luckily, there are many sights to see, not the least of which are the amazing beaches. You have Orchid Beach , North Shepherd Beach , South Shepherd beach, and Ramsay Beach , to name a few of the most popular. Additionally, enjoy Cape Richards at the most northern tip of the island; it is a fantastic lookout point that offers amazing views of the sea and Orchid Beach . Missionary Bay offers a more unique treat with its mangrove swamps, home to both sea cows and crocodiles. Activities For the more rugged travelers, enjoy the approximately four day trip along a 32 kilometer trail, called the Thorsborne Trail, which follows the length of Hinchinbrook Island, from Ramsay Beach in the north to George Point in the south. This is a great trip, but hikers must be completely self-sufficient; no open fires are allowed because of the islands National Park status. Thus campers must bring all their own equipment and a permit is required. It can be reserved in advance, and only a maximum of forty people are allowed on the trail at one time. Besides trekking, snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing are all available activities for visitors. You can enjoy long walks along the beaches, beautiful sunsets and even splurge on an excellent dinner or other goodies at Hinchinbrook Island Wilderness Lodge. Lodging The lodge also provides accommodations to visitors, but it is far more expensive than camping, which is the mode of choice for most visitors who come to the island. There are a number of fully equipped campsites open to visitors and a couple need wilderness permits, available in Cardwell or online. If you do decide to stay in the lodge, there are two options. One is the tree houses in the rainforest. Simply but sufficiently equipped, without phone or television, they are connected by a steady boardwalk. Rates start at $475 per person, but this does include ferry rides to and from Cardwell, all meals and sightseeing trips around the island. Beach cabins are another option and, though they are older and equipped with only the bare necessities, several units to offer simple kitchens. None of them offer meals or cleaning services. They can be rented per night for $160, and the maximum amount of people allowed to stay in one cabin is four. Thus, if you're looking for a different vacation that is still exciting but not where everyone else is going, do check out Hinchinbrook Island in Queensland , Australia . If you like being adventurous and are up for a good time, it is an awesome place to visit, relax and breathe in nature's beauty in all her glory.

The internet has become the fastest and most convenient way to be able to locate and compare a credit card company from another. No doubt it has become widely used in financial transactions such as credit card applications. However, with a significant incidence of fraud online, consumers are now in a critical situation. One thing should be certain, though. In applying for a credit card online, make sure the credit card company you are applying is one-hundred percent safe and secure for customer's use. The easiest way to know this is to know the reputation of your credit card company. Reputable companies that have a clean track record of serving many satisfied customers is one sure way to determine the credit card company is safe from fraud and privacy issues. There would probably be nothing new about the next things to consider except of course that like a personal credit card application, you have to ask these things because it will help you decide which credit card and which company will you apply to. Let us take the why first. Why do you want to apply for a credit card? How do you intend to use your credit card? Is it only for pleasure or is it for business? First time credit card applicants should ask this question more often than dreaming about the benefits involved with owning a credit card. If you travel a lot to different countries, will you be able to use the credit card? If so, then you will need an international credit card, which you can use in countries other than the country where the credit card was issued. Are you able to pay monthly or only at a minimum? By answering these questions, you will know your financial capability. Now this is very important because later, the lack of finances might make you not in good terms with your credit card company. After this assessment, compare credit cards. Again, the best way to do this is online. You can put cards side by side and weigh each pro and con. What are the benefits as well as the disadvantages of both cards? Many websites could give you this information. And while you're at it, get information about the company itself who will issue the credit card. Are they credible enough? Can their system be trusted? Will information be a private transaction between you and the bank? Since credit card companies are also a business, carefully investigate any detail or specifics that go with the application. The internet is a rich source for this information. With just one click of the mouse, you can easily compare rats, fees, and terms, making the tedious chore of doing your homework informative as well as exhaustive. Once you have selected your credit card company, it is also very convenient to apply at once for a credit card. After a filling out and submitting a form, approve applications would be receive a confirmation e-mail with your credit card information in it. This proves to be one of the most convenient ways to apply for credit cards today.

The supply chain field in the United Kingdom is highly competitive, especially for new graduates just entering the profession. There are a number of stresses placed on supply chain departments and companies that rely on a strong supply chain staff. Corporate clients and individual consumers expect a quick and efficient process from purchase through delivery. While many consumers may think that their products reach them through a simple process, most major companies now have far flung distribution facilities and customer service centers. Supply chain professionals are responsible for assisting the process where products head from a facility to the client or consumer without any hitches. This complex task can seem daunting to new supply chain workers. Even the most skilled and composed supply chain professional can find themselves under a mountain of paper work and customer orders. However, new graduates just entering the supply chain field can avoid the pitfalls and hurdles mounted along the way with a few simple methods used in the workplace. Supply chain professionals can meet and exceed expectations by remaining vigilant in their contact with everyone involved in the process. The average supply chain worker may be content to deal with customers in a passive manner, waiting for requests and concerns to arrive in their voice mail or inbox. However, exceptional supply chain workers are proactive and speak with their managers, clients, and contacts at distribution and production facilities. By remaining active in communicating with all parties involved, one source of stress in supply chain management is relieved. As well, supply chain professionals need to remain organized in order to meet the expectations of their managers. The desk space and computer of a supply chain worker is the canvas on which they work on the art of supply chain management. Without a clean canvas, these professionals have a difficult time dealing with the disparate elements of the corporate world. A reliable filing system, organization of computer files, and a clean desk can do wonders for the harried supply chain professional. Finally, supply chain workers should work with their managers and fellow professionals to set expectations for the workplace. While many companies lay down their expectations on a daily or weekly basis, some professionals may want to push themselves even harder to get the job done. By consulting with other professionals and managers in the workplace, supply chain workers can show the initiative and passion that is needed for success in the field.

Designed to win races, the Maserati MC12 is actually sold as a road car, albeit it a very impractical one. Still what do you expect with a 620 bhp exotic car? The car looks just like the sports racing car that it is. To be fair, it is a real two-seater while the cars that race at Le Mans are more like single-seaters.Only 25 MC12s were built initially, and quite a few were used for racing. Actually, when they heard about Maserati building the MC12 for the GTA championship (ooops, sorry for sale as a road car, was the official line, I think) some of the other companies threatened to withdraw as they thought the presence of the MC12 on the starting grid would make a farce of the whole series. Although the Maserati MC12, is a true exotic car, it is based on the Ferrari Enzo. The whole idea was to upgrade Maserati's image following a checkered history. The glory of the 50s, when Maserati was a regular winner of Grand Prix, got lost in the mire of an economic downturn, when the company took the wrong turn more than once.As Ferrari and Maserati are both part of the Fiat Group, and were in fact in the same sub-group, it made sense to modify the Enzo to get Maserati back as a winner. Now, Ferrari and Maserati have been put in different sub-groups, so this sort of collaboration is not expected in the future.V-12 from Ferrari with 622 bhpThe Maserati MC12 looks completeley different from the Enzo, though,, with a long nose and very long tail. Where the Enzo is angular, the MC12 is curved. It has a carbon fiber body structure with steel sub-frames front and rear. Power comes from a 6.0 liter V-12 developing 622 bhp 7,500 rpm, and 480 lb ft (652 Nm) torque 5,500 rpm. A semi-racing engine to be sure. It is coupled to a semi-automatic six-speed sequential gearbox, developed by Ferrari in racing.Suspension is by double wishbones, with inboard spring and damper units acting through pushrods. These are mounted horizontally as on the Enzo. The dampers have variable rates. Quite a car, but not as extreme as the Bugatti Veyron or the latest Saleen S7.Following the racing success of the MC12, Maserati is now to build a more extreme version – the MC12 Corsa. The MC12 Corsa has a massively uprated Enzo V-12 engine giving about 750bhp. You can get this for about $1.3 million – or £700,000 or Euros 1 million depending where you live. But this is not a road car, nor will you be able to race it in any official categories - so this is a trackday special at a huge price. Maserati plans to build about 12 MC12 Corsas a year.

Miles credit cards are credit card programs designed to offer you discounts or even free airline service based on the amount of money you earn through the credit card company. There are two basic types of credit cards that offer miles as their reward. First, you can select the most common which is a credit card offered by the airline and a credit card company together. Or, you can select a third party card which provides miles as rewards that can be used for a number of different airlines. A miles credit card should be used wisely if you are to benefit from it in all the ways that are available to you.How They WorkThe first thing to understand about miles credit cards is how they work. When you apply for this type of credit card, you will be able to use it for many reasons, both through the airlines that you have it from as well as for purchases in everyday life. As you make purchases with the credit line, you are then earning miles. Usually $1 spent equals 1 mile. But, miles do not come back at you at such a luxury rate. In other words, it may take 20,000 miles to qualify for $20. Each program will outline what the miles credit card actually provides in terms of miles.Using ThemMiles credit cards can be used in a number of ways. Perhaps the best way to use them is to get free airline tickets. If you have a specific airline's miles credit card, you will need to redeem those miles with that airline. If you have a generic version, you will need to redeem the miles through the affiliated airlines. Sometimes, these credit card companies provide more rewards than just airline miles. For example, they may allow you to get discounts on other travel expenses as well as overall discounts on service, such as upgrading to first class.Knowing The Terms HelpsWhen you have miles credit cards, it is important to know what the card is costing you. Sometimes, reward cards will have a higher interest rate that you will pay when you carry a balance on the line of credit. There may be membership fees to pay and annual fees as well. In these situations, you should compare the costs with non-rewards oriented cards and weigh the benefits that you anticipate receiving. Paying your bill in full each month will help you to avoid finance charges, which is the main negating factor when utilizing any type of rewards card. Also, know if there are any stipulations on using the miles credit card. Blackout dates can be a problem if you plan to use your miles during peak travel periods. If you do a lot of traveling, miles credit cards will help you to save money. If you do not want to pay a lot to travel, then using miles credit card offers can help you to cut down those costs as you save up miles. These are some of the most sought after lines of credit because these rewards are significant.

If you're interested in the Nursing profession, you might be aware that there is more than one type of nurse and designation. One is the Licensed Practical Nurse, or LPN. Training to become an LPN is a one year program in most instances, involving classroom education and supervised clinical practice. Training must be acquired at a state-approved school, and graduates must pass a licensing examination, the NCLEX-PIN, to become qualified to practice. LPNs are qualified to perform a range of services in hospitals, doctor's offices, skilled nursing home facilities, and in a number of other healthcare settings. The duties of a Licensed Practical Nurse are performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), and encompass a variety of patient bedside care tasks, such as checking vital signs, preparing and administering injections and enemas, applying bandages and dressings, monitoring catheters, and treating pressure sores. In some states, Licensed Practical Nurses are allowed to administer medications prescribed by a physician and to start intravenous fluids. Collecting samples and performing routine laboratory tests are also among the duties of an LPN, as are monitoring and recording patient food and fluid intake. In a nursing home setting, experienced Licensed Practical Nurses can be responsible for supervising care given by Nursing Assistants, and aid in developing resident care plans. There is a demand for Licensed Practical Nurses in a variety of settings throughout the healthcare industry. Demand for LPNs in hospital settings has declined in recent years, but has increased in many other segments of the health care industry. Among the fastest growing areas is the home health care field, due to an increase in older patients with disabling conditions that choose to be treated at home, and advanced technology that makes home care more feasible, even for more complex medical conditions. Nursing homes are next in line as far as job growth for Licensed Practical Nurses, due to a growing number of elderly and disabled persons requiring long-term care. Nursing home facilities are also seeing a significant increase in rehabilitation patients, released from the hospital before they are able to function sufficiently for self-care - another area in which LPNs are used.Licensed Practical Nursing can be a very rewarding choice for many, as well as the fast track to job security in a profession that is increasingly in demand. Nursing care is required worldwide, ensuring that the nursing professional can practice in nearly any location of their choice. With the broad range of settings and specializations to choose from, Licensed Practical Nurses can easily find their perfect health care niche, ensuring long-term career growth and satisfaction.

No one wants to see their family hurt by their own mistakes and parents in particular, tend to do everything to avoid causing their children grief. Unfortunately, when debt spirals out of control and the monthly payments become increasingly difficult to make, radical measures are often considered. However, rather than selling up and moving to a cheaper neighborhood, pulling your children out of school or college or doing anything else to disturb your family's equilibrium, you can consolidate your debts into one loan at a low debt consolidation loan rate. This one action could free up enough money every month to make a significant difference. You can save a lot of money on interest charges simply by combining your current debts into a loan that has a low debt consolidation loan rate. Not only will your monthly payments decrease (possibly very substantially), you will save thousands of dollars over the loan term, have the convenience of only one payment, and have the guarantee of being debt free at the end of the term of the loan (if you use a fixed term loan to consolidate). There are different ways you can solve your financial problems by benefiting from low debt consolidation loan rates. Home equity loans can give you highly competitive interest rates if you have adequate equity in your home. The only risk is that your home is security for the loan and if you default the lender can foreclose. You need to be honest with yourself about your payment history and likelihood of paying late. If you are consolidating debt to avoid family upheaval, you certainly don't want to lose your house because of a missed payment. An unsecured personal loan is the most popular consolidation option, offering a lower debt consolidation loan rate than the average credit card and line of credit. Most family debt problems are caused by high credit card balances and lines of credit, both at high commercial rates. Multiple monthly payments on different loans can add up to a lot of money and place a lot of stress on every member of your family, but particularly you and your partner. However, as soon as you have combined all your credit cards and debts into one loan at a lower debt consolidation rate, you will be relieved of an enormous amount of stress. You will be finally in a position to move out of the red and into the black. The monthly and long term savings from debt consolidation will help you take back control of your finances. If you are wise and cancel all your credit cards and any lines of credit once you have paid out their balances, you will be out of debt at the end of the loan term and the whole process will have been painless. With such an easy solution to your problems readily available, why continue to suffer? The ball's in your court.

“Each friend represents a world in us, a world of possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." Anais NinI’ve been thinking about some of my clients who have expressed concerns about being authentic and connecting with people. One client lives in a rural area and is having trouble connecting with like-minded people. She feels isolated and lonely. I have another client who is hesitant to be her authentic self yet longs for a meaningful relationship. It got me thinking, why is it so hard for us to share our humanity?About 3 years ago I participated in a life-transforming program that challenged my beliefs and thoughts about myself. For two intense yet wonderful weeks I put myself in the hands of trust and began to let go of the limiting stories I had created that kept me from fully experiencing my life and being me. One of the exercises I was invited to experience was called “May I join you?" The instructions were as follows: We were to be dropped off in the middle of a food court in a bustling downtown shopping area. We were to purchase our lunch, find a stranger or group of strangers sitting at a table and simply ask, “May I join you?". If we received an affirmative response we were to sit down, not reveal why and eat our lunch. Now this might not seem like a big deal to some of you, especially if you are from a non—American culture. But, let me assure you, it was a big deal for me, and most of the other participants. As we rode together to the appointed location there was a flurry of anticipation and nervous energy. We arrived at our destination; I took a deep breath and headed into the crowd. Picture this: walking around (in circles) with a tray of food scanning the room for someone you have the nerve to approach. I wondered, “Would they think I was crazy? Who looked safe? What if that person thought I was coming on to them? What if the person laughed and said no? Who was I to intrude on someone’s space?"My heart was racing. My anxiety was nearing the red zone. “Why should this be so difficult? They’re only people just like me". I tried to comfort myself. Again, I looked around the room…As humans we all have the same basic needs for love, approval, recognition and contact. We all want to be liked. While at the same time we covet our privacy and have a need for our own “separate" space. Deep down we really want to connect. Is it any wonder we sometimes feel alone in a world full of people? Where is your edge of comfort? Are you willing to reach out and make new connections that could support and add value to your life? What inner dialogue prevents you from taking risks that could lead to new relationships or expanded networks? Here are some perspectives that could assist you in shifting from fear to willingness: 1. Be yourself. Connect with who you truly are. 2. Stay curious and interested in people. Stay open to new situations.3. Enter playfully and stay unattached to the outcome. Move from a place of possibility and be delighted at what shows up.4. Remember, most people have the same insecurities. We’re all on the same side of the fence. Most people welcome connection and would be grateful you made the effort. 5. Remember, the worst that can happen is someone says no. I finally settled on a person to ask. It was a woman in her mid fifties and dressed in a grocery store uniform. “May I join you?" I asked. She looked up and smiled, then welcomed me to have a seat. We spent the next delightful thirty minutes together talking about our lives, her job, and my children. It was warm and enjoyable. When we were finished with lunch she got up, thanked me and we both went on our way. As I walked away to rejoin my group my heart was full and I was laughing. I learned a valuable lesson about myself that day and felt a deeper connection to the rest of humanity. It’s YOUR life…imagine the possibilities!
